As a long-established and
experienced adult learning Centre (more than 30 000 youth and adult students
since 1996), we take pleasure and pride from seeing our students develop new
skills, enhance their knowledge or study a subject for pure enjoyment.
Learning Centre “EVA-93” lines
of action are adult formal, informal and non-formal learning. We do all to
promote our specialist knowledge and that helps us to provide education that
our partners and trainees find valuable for their further personal development.
Our aim is to empower youth and adults and the promotion of social inclusion
through assisting in acquiring knowledge and developing learners skills and
competencies.
Our mission is to foster and support
the sustainable development of local communities and individuals’ empowerment
through education and training, human rights, democratic values, and
international cooperation as social inclusion, creating and publishing
methodologies to facilitate the inclusion of collectives at risk of exclusion
stimulates also their employability.
We also have a huge experience
implementing Gender Equality, through training sessions, conducting research
and the development of methodologies and experience ir Baltic- Nordic
international projects focused on gender issues such as success of the Nordplus
programme international project “Peculiarities of
teaching women typical male professions”that was successfully implemented in
Baltic and Nordic countries and allowed us to unite women to create socially inclusive
learning atmosphere and empower those at the risk for positive changes in their
lives.
We believe in social
entrepreneurship values as something that should be transversal to all other
topics because the importance of raising awareness and sharing knowledge about
the social entrepreunership is essential to be able to build a committed
citizenship.
International projects build bridges
among different realities and bring European policies closer to the reality of
people, guaranteeing their assimilation of the principles of
sustainability.
We work with different type of
learners – youth and adult students both employed and unemployed and we have contracts with more than 200
organizations about internal training programs in the field of dangerous machinery,
fire safety, electrical safety, working and civil safety, also we provide wide
range of workshops for public and private profit bodies. We also work with
unemployed learners and economically and socially disadvantaged learners almost
every day and our aim is to promote learner’s personal development during the
study process by strengthening cooperative relations. One of the most important
tasks of teaching staff is to ensure that learners don’t lose self-confidence
and for learners whose self-confidence is shaken, the learning center teaching
staff assists to restore confidence in themselves. As it is known, feedback is
important for successful cooperation - showing how the learner understood the
content of the teaching program. That's why we continue to cooperate with
former learners, inviting them to our Learning Centre “EVA-93” to share their
good experience with our actual learners and by organizing study trips to
former learners workplaces.
